In their clearance section, Zones.com has both Delta Force and World of Combat 2000 (includes Armored Fist 2, Comanche 3, F-22 Lightning II) for $1.99 each. They have a free shipping promo on now for an unspecified period of time.

Link is here, halfway down the page.

These are the full retail, boxed games. Nice package for "lite" simmers and/or folks with slightly older machines. They've got some other titles in the 2-5 dollar range that might be of interest to some folks as well (Starfleet Academy, Test Drive 5, Sports Car GT, etc). Enjoy!

Actually, the Novalogic games run through Windows 9X. Delta Force was native Windows, but the others that were orgininally DOS now have a Windows executable as part of the repackaging for the bundle, I believe. But yeah, $2 doesn't get you Unreal Tournament or Jane's Super Hornet:)

comanche 1 & 2 are great games. I don't know about 3 since I didn't have a powerful enough computer to play it back then. hope its as good as the 1st 2.

Delta Force 2 is quite cool. It carves out its own space in the FPS genre, with some of the "real-world tactics" of Rainbow 6, but overall more action oriented. The best thing is that you can see for hundreds of meters in any direction in _huge_ landscapes. (E.g., sniping some guard from 1500 meters away.) The voxel graphics, which are definitely grainy, make this possible.

Anyway, the original Delta Force is supposedly better in some ways than DF2, and nearly the equivalent graphically. All of these Novalogic games are system hogs, but that's OK, because computers 2-3 years later have caught up.

Thanks for the tip.

My Delta Force was canceled. I wanted to warn everybody who ordered with this firm to check your receipts. I got charged shipping, and then after complaining received a form email saying something like "We're sorry our computer keeps charging shipping."

cremefilled,

thanks for the heads up. i thought they went ahead and charged me for both items, but thanks to you, i looked at my invoice again and i was charged $2.99 for shipping also! $2.99 to ship a $1.99 game. what a deal. not...

what really sucks is that delta force was the one i really wanted, i just got the other set to give to my dad.

Sorry folks, but I got both games with no hassle -- arrived two days after I placed my order. Grand total $3.98.

I placed my order the evening of 9/24, so I guess stock changed. Sucks...
