Some of you may know that I'll be in NYC for a while and in the time I've been here I've taken several photos. I don't have Photoshop here and the laptop I'm on probably couldn't handle The Gimp so I'm left uploading photos straight from the camera, and the only editing I can do is a resize and crop in MS Paint.
Here are four from today that I found interesting. I went out for a walk with the last lens I would bring, my Sigma 150mm macro, not expecting that it would make an excellent street candid lens. I just wish it was a zoom...a 70-200L IS would've been the optimal piece of glass here.
Shooting candids is kind of weird, something I hadn't done before, and as I had quite a lens attached to my camera, I did get a few stares (one homeless guy even commented..."That shoot long range?"). I was out for an hour and a half and only came back with only 25 shots...I did miss many potential photographs because I was kind of nervous pointing my camera at strangers in a very public place.
Ahh well. Enough talk.

Union Square
Union Square again
Somewhere in the city
All four will probably be picked on a bit further in PS when I get back home.
