Saturday night: I get an Ace - 8, suited. Blinds are 50/100, so I raise before the flop, get a couple of folds. Flop: Jack, Ace, Ace. One lady bets 200, I call, all others have folded. Turn: Ace. Don't ask me how I kept from giving it away, but she bets, I hesitate, then call. River: 6. She bets, I hesitate again, then raise, she calls. Woo-hoo!

Never had four of a kind before, felt pretty doggone good.

I never understood the point of playing poker with anything other than real money... I mean, most of the fun comes from the risk/reward factor.

She had a full house, pocket Jacks. She thought she was golden, I almost felt sorry for her. I don't know what the total pot was, I was busy taking some razzing for acting like I wasn't sure I should call her.

I've only been playing since August, so I'm nowhere near experienced enough to play for real money. It's a great group of people for the most part, more social than competitive, although there are a few exceptions. Definitely a learning experience, and not just the game.

Get together with some friends and play a $10 or $20 buy in once a week. Most people will play completely differently when actual money is to be made/lost.

funniest hand in our games was one friend had JJ and another friend had KK in the hole.

Flop was J, J, K. Both tried to play it smooth betting gradually and finally both went all in after the River.

The look on my friend's face when he lost with his full boat was priceless :)

yeah, that's how I learned how to play.

played once a week with friends at a $20 buy-in game... now I play once a month at a $100 buy-in.
