I imagine they based "The Fifth Element" of that one alone.
Ah, one of my all-time favorite movies. "Negative, I am a meat popsicle"
I imagine they based "The Fifth Element" of that one alone.
Yup, you nailed it, THANKS! Ommadon the Red Wizard was voiced by James Earl Jones & John Ritter plays the scientist. I must have gotten confused because The Last Unicorn & Flight of the Dragons were released the same year (1982). Did you watch it? I don't think I've ever met anybody else who has
Being a child of the 80's who watched way too much tv, I'm embarrassed to admit the truth. You had me worried that there were two bad movies with the same plot.
Glad to be of assistance.
And wow, searching has pulled up so many weird old movies I've seen...there's the more popular ones like The Neverending Story & Little Nemo, but there's the more arcane ones:
The Phantom Tollbooth
Mio in the Land of Faraway (Batman!)
Time Bandits (that ending with the parents...lol)
The Peanut Butter Solution
Movies used to be so weird haha
LOL, some great old memories were just dug up here! I remember renting The Peanut Butter Solution for one of my birthday parties when I was a kid and we all loved it. And holy crap! this movie is obscure: Mio in the Land of Faraway, but we owned it! My parents bought it for us kids on VHS (probably out of some discount bin) and we always made fun of it! I remember a giant head floating in the air and this kid grabbing his beard and flying away, lol! I also remember laughing at a character named Yum Yum or No No or something like that.
