Found this scorpion in my garage, what kind is it??

ahh yes, the terrestrial Death Star Scorpion. Known across the world as the Darth Vader of Scorpions it creates an odd noise as it slowly kills you. I hope that the force is strong with you, my son, for if not, then you shall surely die!

Sorry bout that, just got done with a Star Wars Trilogy Marathon.

Star Wars Trilogy Marathon? I could go for watching the first (last) 3 right now. I saw the first one and never saw the second, so maybe I could watch the second too, but I'm not up for watching 5 movies straight.

Edit: Oh and about the scorpion. That's kinda cool but I wouldn't touch him. Where do you live that you have a scorpion problem?

From a pic like that even a scorpion expert might not be able to identify it. The dangerous scorps are pretty hard to distinguish from the harmless ones. From the size and coloring that could damn well be a bark scorpion, one of the dangerous ones.

If you're living in Arizona bark scorpions are a fact of life. They're everywhere and it's inevitable that they wander into homes and garages once in a while. Keep a lot of glue trap around, never walk around barefoot and be careful when putting on your shoes.

Since you live in Phoenix, I would listen to GagHalfrunts advice.... I used to live there, and there are all kinds of things you dont want sticking/stinging/nibbling on your toes...😀

Of all the different types of scorpions in North America, I think there are two venomous types, both of which inhabit Arizona...

these look like what I see very often here in S Texas.. haven't been stung by one yet... our pest control (Terminix) seems to work at keeping these things away if regularly serviced.

Bark scorpions are very venemous be careful.

I think you might be right..... I just sprayed my house with pesticide so hopefully I won't be seeing them anymore for awhile.

put a drop of liquor on it and it will go mad and sting itself to death
true story, we did it while camping one year

:Q That isn't what you said last night!

Yes...that is a bark scorpion. It looks pretty small...the smaller and whiter they are, the more venomous they are. (at least that's what i've been told).
