Found this (relatively) old home theatre reciever laying around...

And I got to thinking. I'll be upgrading me PC soon, including a new sound card. Is there a sound card that has RCA outputs? Instead of having to buy a 'PC Speaker' system I could hook it up to a real speaker system through this reciever. It's a couple years old so it doesn't have an optical connection; I know the Audigy and a few other sound cards have that.

Is there such a thing?

Yeah I could, but I figured maybe the audigy plat's with the breakout box had RCA connectors on it.

umm I believe there was a review or two of the Audigy Platinum, some of which with pics, so do some searching for that. btw the breakout box does not AFAIK have RCA jacks. just look here

I'm guessing you have the Audigy? if so you already have everything you need to get 5.1 sound to your reciever (you don't need the optical out on an Audigy), plus it's cheaper to buy a headphone jack - RCA jack converter like the one mentioned above (you don't want the ones that convert them without a cord, it wears down the jacks due to more leverage.
