Saw this cool video. Although its done by toy models but I see this becoming a reality in the near future! Ordering a burger and choosing the toppings, customizing a cake or a drink etc.

I'm not sure those occupations are the ones most likely to become obsolescent. Cake/hamburger/retail store owners won't replace minimum wage costs (or less using illegal labour) with large outlay technology requiring retraining of new personnel. The robots will replace repetitive high end work, like automotive manufacturing and computer fabrication. They already have in some industries.

True but even paying two staff @ minimum wage will result in at least USD$60K of annual salary. With robots getting cheaper and easier to implement, it won't be long to achieve ROI.

True, then they get rid of managers and replace them with techs.

Well you still need someone to "manage" the store and provide some semblance of real life customer service. However robots are also widely adopted in low cost regions such as China. I read one bloomberg report that in the past, it takes about 20 workers to assemble a computer mouse. Now only 2 or 3 is needed - all robot maintenance technicians.

Great now you're going to put moms out of business.

Pretty cool. Seen the one of robot arms flying a plane?
