Hi

I finally found my ATI Radeon 7500 64mb card in my drawer. I never knew where I put it, but I found it today. :) Anyways, I tested it out to see if it works properly. The video is terrible. Its all scratchy, and when you hover the mouse pointer over an icon on the desktop, it makes it change colors. Also, when you move the cursor, there are bits of different colors that follow the cursor. It looks terrible.

Is this card worth getting fixed. I was thinking of sending it back to ATI to repair it, but I am not sure how much they charge to do it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Thanks.

Cool. Thanks for your reply. I wont get it fixed then, especially since newegg has it for 39 bucks! That card from the link you gave me is the exact one I have. :)

I guess I should just throw it out.

Thanks! :)

The card might have a 5 year warrranty and they will replace it with the same card of 90% of the time a better card for the cheap price of shipping to NY. I've sent out some cards for customers and most of the time they send out better products back ex. 8500pro->9600Pro, 7000->9200,9700Pro->9800Pro and I think one AIW 8500 was upgraded to a 9600AIW. It wouldnt hurt to try anyways.

Doesn't ATI have trade in program? Never used it and don't know the details, but it might be worth looking into.

ATI trade in I think you have to buy a new card through ATI, then ship them your old card. Limited choices on the page today, but I've seen more choices in the past.

ATI has a habbit of sending newer cards because they don't have any older cards anymore.
