Sort of crazy but there are no 700s series motherboards out there yet! That for the 13th generation Raptor Lake CPU, which is backward compatible with Alder Lake CPUs but has improvements like DDR5 higher speed DRAM support!

Buuuuuut that just proved his subject line correct in that only the top flight 7xx series chipset has been released, but not the lower end ones.

That said, I am not sure anyone cares too much. The main problem with the 6xx series was price, not capabilities. Intel has been slowly but surely leaking higher end features like higher ram speeds down the chain until with the 6 series there seems little left at the top. I did a H670 build and for folks who just want to build, turn on XMP and play and not build and tune and tune and tune and tune, it was just fine.
