Found out Halloween night that I'm going to be a daddy!!

My girlfriend and I are outside talking and it turns out she thinks she is pregnant, we drive to Wal-Mart a little later to pick up a test, and sure enough two lines. So now looks like I'm gonna be a daddy in about 8.5 months!

It's definitely not a good thing that's for sure. What am I going to do? I only have maybe 1.5 years left in school so I'm going to finish that. The girlfriend and I already have a 3 bedroom house together, and I guess I'm going to raise a kid to the best of my abilities.

Anywho, I'm hoping for a boy.

if you were serious about not having any kids you would have been using some form of birth control.

You have a house and are almost out of school....How is this "definitely not a good thing"?

I'm not saying it couldnt have been somewhat better timing, but it beats the pants off "I live with my mom and started college 4 weeks ago". At that point, yes it is definitely not a good thing.

Well, it can't be all that bad, you and the girlfriend already seem to have a leg up on most "oops, I'm pregnant" couples (i.e. - 3 bedroom house, and you're mostly finished with school).

She was getting the shot which last what 3 months I think and I dunno it ran out and we were being careless.

My girlfriend got pregnant at 20, I was 22... It was really fvcking hard, but 9 years later we're still in love and have three beautiful, wonderful kids.

Your youth is not the biggest obstacle you'll overcome in having a successful family.
