"found new hardware 'net'

I'm using Windows XP, and I recently did a repair install, then installed the needed updates. Every time I start up, the message "Found New Hardware" pops up and says the hardware is called "Net." I cancel it, and it pops up 2 more times before going away for good. Any ideas?
