I have a Cannon Multipass F60 printer, not the best but it's fine for me.

Recently I reformated my hard-drive so to get it working I need to re-install 2 driver disks and some internet patch to get it working.

When I put in the starting driver disk it gives me a list of steps and for one I need to unplug and re-plug the printer from my computer so the found new harware window comes up, I do this but the window doesn't come up.
It seems like this needs to happen in order to proceed.

It's worked before so I don't know why this is happening now.
Any ideas or no of some way to force the window?

Generally at that point, Canon driver installation sits there and waits until the device itself shows up. If it's already been connected, this may fail.

Cancel the driver installation, open Device Manager, and with the printer connected, find it and click "Uninstall". Then disconnect it, run the driver installation again.

If the device isn't seen in Device Manager at all, then you have a USB problem on a hardware level, and you need to solve that first.
