Found an error on my credit report! Should I fight it?

Well I got my credit report today and found Sam's club reported a 30 Day late. A year ago they charged my card to renew my membership AFTER I had canceled my account. When I called them the removed all of the charges, but I guess not until after they reported it late.

How do I get this fixed? Is it even worth it as my scores are still pretty good? How long will it stay there if I don't do anything?

I believe 7 years from date of last activity. The more recent that 30 days late is, the more damage it is doing to your score. Risk=Rate. I'd fix it. It's too difficult to do.

i've had 2 different collections removed from my credit score (both were medical bills that my insurance fought off paying, but in the end belonged to them) i just talked with the creditors and the 3 main credit score people

Contact Sams Club and ask them to make the correction. If that doesn't work, you can contact the bureaus and claim you were never late, but by doing that you run the risk of losing that TL altogether as the CB are often incompetent.
