Found a textbook, how do you find

I found a textbook on my campus, just purchased, receipt still in the bag. my question is, id like to return it to the owner, is there a way i can track the person down, it says paid by check, but doesnt give much else info and there doesnt appear to be a barcode of any kind on the receipt.

should i just hand it over to lost and found?

bookstore might still have the check. that'd have all sorts of info on it

Back to the wherever the receipt's from. They can likely match the day & amount of purchase to a check.

Return it for store credit. They probably didn't want it anyway.

lol thanks for the replies. returned it to the campus police where they could look at the id on the receipt and match it to a student. yay
