What really got me pissed was when I was going 15 above and a guy still had the nerve to go around me. (60 in a 45!)
Yes I live in Atlanta also.

As much as I hate inconsiderate tailgaters, I hate people who drive slow in the fast lane even more. You should move over to the slow lane if you want to drive slower than everybody else. I've been known to tailgate real slow-pokes to make my point. I think all American drivers could learn something about driving discipline from the Germans...

You could always move over a lane...
Why are American drivers so fvcking inconsiderate anyway? I see people constantly driving the speed limit in the far left lane forcing traffic to pass them on the right. WTF is with these people? If you see people coming up behind you moving at a faster speed than you are then MOVE THE FVCK OVER!!! :|
Key words.. "driving the speed limit"
Another more important set of words "flow of traffic". It is as dangerous to drive faster as it is slower than the flow of traffic. Many states are writting laws (or enforcing already written laws) on flow of traffic, especially in the "passing lane".
The left lane is a passing lane and shouldn't be used to speed ridiculously or coast. Driving the speed limit is safe most of the time. I mean unless everyone around you in front and behind is going 10-25 miles faster than you, there is no reason not to go the speed limit. "Flow of traffic" is true, but for the most part, the flow of traffic will remain near the speed limit. I rarely speed anymore, and if I do I rarely go over 5-10 miles over.

This morning I went and picked up a load of sand in my truck for my son's new sand box. I built this thing at the end of his slide, 8lx8wx2d. Monster sandbox that functions not only as a polay area, but also as the landing area at the end of the slide. Now, I ran out of time so I was not able to wash out the back of my truck before coming to work, so I just drive to work with this fine layer of masonary sand in the bed of the truck.
Now, all the way to work I notice that people are keeping their distance from me, which, on 285 in Atlanta, is unusal. then I refocus my vision and notice that there is a nice little whirlwind of sand blowing out of my truck. I figure this is what is causing the normally bumper to bumper traffic a good safe distance behind me. 😀
I have another load to pick up tomorrow, and then hopefully I can wash out my truck, but if not, people won't be tailgating a sandblaster on the interstate. 😀😀😀😀

Well, since 3 cops passed me at better than 85+ mph, I can honestly say that they had better things to do.
