Found a new way to get A$$HOLES to stop tailgating me

This morning I went and picked up a load of sand in my truck for my son's new sand box. I built this thing at the end of his slide, 8lx8wx2d. Monster sandbox that functions not only as a polay area, but also as the landing area at the end of the slide. Now, I ran out of time so I was not able to wash out the back of my truck before coming to work, so I just drive to work with this fine layer of masonary sand in the bed of the truck.

Now, all the way to work I notice that people are keeping their distance from me, which, on 285 in Atlanta, is unusal. then I refocus my vision and notice that there is a nice little whirlwind of sand blowing out of my truck. I figure this is what is causing the normally bumper to bumper traffic a good safe distance behind me. :D

I have another load to pick up tomorrow, and then hopefully I can wash out my truck, but if not, people won't be tailgating a sandblaster on the interstate. :D:D:D:D

I would imagine any damage you did to their car you'd have to pay for. It falls in line for not properly securing material on a truck (for example, why those rock hauling trucks are responsible for damage from a rock that falls).

Mulch works too. Although some people are really clueless and are so focused on everything EXCEPT the vehicle in front of them that they'll still tailgate.

In most States the only things legal to drop on the road are potable water(includes juice from fruit or vegetable matter), feathers from live birds or hay/alalfa.

Sand should only be spread for icy road conditions. ;)

Where do you live that drivers pay attention to the people in front of them?

hay/alfalfa is generally dusty. if it's dusty enough it'll create a cloud just as good.

All I need to do is drop a few gears and let the flames from the exhaust take care of the rest. It's amazing how quickly cars back off when they see a flame come out of the exhaust.

Aircraft certified landing lights, attached to your rear bumper, aimed at traffic work just great. If some ass get's on your tail at night, it normally takes a quick flick of the switch.
If that doesn't work, I hit the oil burner and fog em out. If still no workie, I hit the spike dispenser. ;)

As much as I hate tailgaters. I also hate MY car getting sandblasted by someone hauling sand as I drive past them or am behind them.

Littering debries from your car as you drive down the highway, even if it IS sand, is NOT legal. It is a road hazard.

If someone called the cops on you, they would ticket you.
