Found a legit site with nothing but freeware games, utlities, web hosting, and more. THOUSANDS of them! Not one demo.

No abandonware here folks!. Just good games at a free price:D
Leave feedback please! So far I am very happy with what I have gotten. I got about 100 games to still go through I downloaded. Lots of clones. I even found some south park games:)

Thank you eveyone that is happy I put this up. I was very happy when I found it. I did my first "hot deals" a few weeks ago but turned out it was loaded with abandonware and freeware games and had to close it. So if you couldnt tell my second try at this I was just a little bit excited that I found it and it was legit so my thread wouldnt get closed :p
I been having a blast going through that many games, do post your fav's you have found there because I or someone else may have missed it, and make sure to keep bumping so this stays where others can see it. OH and for thoes on dial up, ALOT of these games are small so they havent left you guys out. Not to long of a wait to dl, and thoes like me with cable or dsl, takes about 2 seconds to get each game. Most of the time once you hit the save button it beeps and it was done.

Out of the 100+ games I came into maybe 20-25 that didnt work ONLY because my system was to new and switch to force it to 95/98 didnt work so thoes with older systems or dedicated old gamer machine will be very happy. Plenty there to to the point where you wont be buying another game for awhile!

My, you must get list. I will update as I slowly go through the games I have downloaded. I can say this. I've downloaded 194 games since posting and just ran checking for spyware and viruses and it all came out clean and now that they have all been unzipped I checked again and still found nothing
chicken invaders
dogma (fighting game)
dx-ball (breakout clone)
elf bowling
elf bowling 2
rescue
kerboom (kinda cool. South park related)

air hocky madness
blip and blop (A MUST GET! I just played for a bit but blowing smurfs up kicks!)
gltron (tron light cycles)
Highway Pursuit (updated spyhunter game. Great graphics)
Icy tower (very addictive jumping game)
Invaders 21
Island wars
Jardinains (breakout clone with small people throwning stuff at you, wierd but fun)
Lander (check out they spelled feul!)

Have you downloaded and installed any of these? Are they free of spyware and adware?

Thanks for the link!

Yes I have been downloading and trying them all morning and so far I have been very happy. There are like 50+ differnt pac man games, space invaders and soooo much more and I barely tapped into it all. I am like a kid in a candy store at this site right now. Just thought I would pass on the fun! They even offer free viro and adware programs
I dont think you can go wrong. DL some and leave your feed back. I am very happy and you just cannot beat free!
There is 9700 downloadable files there. they even have all the games rated and some have screen shots to look at before you dl. IMO this is one of the nicest sites I have been to and for no charge how do they do it?

Cool, actually looks like a worthy distraction. Chime in with any cool games that you've gotten.

I honestly dont know where to begin. I can say to click on the best link where they have all the games in catorgory(SP sorry I suck ) It will list all the games rated high (like hundreds of them) and go through them. I have tried sove very good pacman clones so far but fo rthe most part I am filling a folder on my hdd with them and goign through them all later after I get all that I want. I think by doing that I can make a good box stuffer cd when I sell some of my stuff:) Way things are goignthough I will have to put them all on dvd because there is so many to look at and download.

I have downed 194 games. I been though 30 of them so far. out of the 30 maybe 6-7 didnt work only because my comp is too new. But what can you expect for free?? They are freeware and kinda old (some of them anyway) and very small in size. Im not gonna complain didnt cost me a dime but some of my time:D

Thanks. I'm not a big game player, so with a selection like this I will never buy a game again.

DX Ball is great if you're into Breakout style games; I loved it so much I actually bought it a few years ago... of course a couple of months later the company decided to give it away for free :p

That being said, make sure your A/V and Spyware software are all up to date before downloading. I haven't d/led from this site in particular, but in the past I've had terrible experiences (i.e. Trojans, viruses, etc) after d/ling and installing several dozens of these games.

I tried the 95/98 thing and they didnt work. I know sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. My comp is picky when it comes to dos programs.
About the breakout clones. That site has a alot of them I have been enjoying. I am slowly going though all the ones I have and will compile a list of cool games that 100% work on my rig note worthy to get.

As for the spyware and stuff. Like I mentioned I downed 194 games and checked for all of it and I came up clean. But of couse that was me and I cannot speak for anyone else. The do offer on the site free adware and viruse software so if you dont have any or want more it can be had there as well.

And I agree I wont need to buy another game for my kids or I for awhile. Unbelieveable amounts to get to keep us busy.

Isn't "Hot Deals" the appropriate forum for software though? I mean, it only makes sense...

I thought this was the right place as well considering it is a hot deal because it is games for free:)

I dont think you are going to have too much trouble there finding stuff to run on a older computer.

a very nice find. i think that many will appreciate all the old school games that seemed to have been faded out by the newer hardcore games.
