You can't. Send it to a professional. You need a good bit of experience and a 10 power loupe to tell.

If it's gold it should have ''14K" or "10K" or "18K" on it somewhere, I would think.

a real diamond will not condensate when you breathe on it (like a mirror does). try that. a CZ or other fake will for a few seconds

also, if you have a black light, try putting the diamond under it. MANY diamonds will turn lue under black light, but not alll will.
