Found a dead pixel...

Now I can't help stare at it. It's driving me nuts...

Oh well, I guess I'll have to learn to accept it.

I'm getting my laptop in a few days and I'm afraid of finding a dead pixel that will irritate me forever.

I have 2 on my laptop. Doesn't bother me so much. Just live with it.

I have 1 or 2 on my 23" widescreen lcd. Considering there is 2.3million of them I'm not complaining. Even if it was 99.9999% accurate I'd still have a couple of 230 dead pixels so I'm not complaining!

If it?s LCD you might be able massage it back to life. I did that on my IBM. If not, you?re SOL. Its soo annoying sometimes in my old CRT mon. I can?t look at the lower left part of the screen with out seeing the damn black spot, especially in white backgrounds.

Nope. Sony one. Apple would be cack for me as I have a pc so no controls to alter the controls and some hassle with the ADC thing as I'm on pc. Also prefered the Sony design. Less vertical height.

how'd u get the dead pixel ?

I'm glad I don't have any on my 1800FP.

I should double check to make sure that there aren't any

It just shows up without warning.

I own Precious Roy's dead pixel detection kit in a zebra striped lunchbox, it warns me things like this are coming..

My thoughts are with you and your family over the loss of your pixel. May your pixel burn bright in pixel heaven. My condolences.
