That's the one that boots up to Basic prompt. It has a couple of game cartriges. When you plug them in it boots up to the game. One of the games is flight simulator, while the other I believe is some sort of shooting game (it came with a gun). It doesn't even have a 5.25" disk drive. Instead it uses some sort of device to read tapes.

Ahh, this brings up the memories. I learned how to program on that box (yeah, i'm a programmer now :)).

Have no idea how much this is worth, couldn't find anything for sale on e-bay. Any ideas? And even then not sure I'll sell it - we had good times together (not that you pervs).

Got that. And x-box as well :). I remember how long it took to load up games from tape backups.

I had one of those and had a guy offer me $700 for it.

This was about 6 years ago, he was a collector that I saw looking at them on a web site in the comp lab at college.

I got his number and called my folks to send it up to me.

My mom had cleaned out the basement a few weeks earlier and tossed it :(:(:(

Honestly, I have no idea if it even works. I'm pretty sure all the tapes are gone bad by now.

These are valuable and they work pretty good also.
There is a place in Minniapolis that buys and sells these and Commodore machines I think if you do a search for businesses there you will find it. I think that it is just called the Commodore store.

no way to know for sure until you test them...or have you already done that?

I just don't think a magnetic device can last for longer than 10 years. Especially since I used them pretty heavily back in the days.
