Got some ideas to fight off the Feb slump for those of us w/ new yr's resolutions to get in better shape. The first section is my own list the second is ideas I got off ATOT.

Section I:
Cliff Bars
Fruit: Watermelon, Pears, Apples, Mangos, Pineapple, Strawberry, Banana, Cherry, Clementines, Orange, etcetera
*Note: Watch Sugar Content
Vegetables
Oatmeal
Pretzels
Cut deli turkey
Canned tuna
Water
Lean pockets

Section II:
Flavored water
Chicken patties (only 120 calories each)
Breyer's Fat Free yogurt
Oat/Wheat bread with apple butter (no sugar added).
One thing, I have really gotten into recently is buying a big bag of frozen fruit, and putting it in a blender with one or two types of juice....and making smoothies.....

I hope this is helpful for everyone who has committed themselves to living and eating healthier. Feel free to post with anything that I may be missing. 😛

Ditch the pretzels - no nutrition, the deli turkey - too much sodium, the lean pockets- too much sodium, the chicken patties - processed crap, and fat free yogurt - too high in sugar. If you want to get into the best shape possible cut out processed foods. i.e. if it's not in it's natural form, don't eat it. Too much of that stuff is processed garbage that's either too high in sodium or sugar.

Well I'm not really a purist or anything. Imo, the pretzels are sort of a lowfat/low calories snack food to prevent overeating. Like if you're hungry at night and instead of having a slice of pizza or summat you have a few pretzels instead. As for sodium not sure about anyone else but I've never really been concerned w/ sodium.

Rudee, would you mind suggesting some foods that I can add to my list? It would be greatly aprpeciated. Thanks. -fotn
