It's got cars from Australia in Australia. Oh, and it's going to be on the PC.

Total shootshow downloading this and the download failing etc. The words I want to use to describe that garbage store from that stupid company I can't write here. How many times do I have to run WSreset? Also 50GB download? Have these clowns heard of compression? I hope this will run by tomorrow. Probably won't knowing that company.

The install is 60GB so they apparently figured out compression somewhere somehow. The clowns. I wonder if the GOW install will be 100GB. If their crap servers can even deliver that above 5MBps assuming their joke of a store doesn't error out around 90%. Every time I spend money with that cesspool of filth of a company I always regret it.

And yet, somehow, you still keep giving them money. Who's the real clown?

Meanwhile, I'll be happily downloading the game whatever size it is on my 200+Mb connection, and playing it a few hours later.

Nice brag about your connection speed. Your mother must be proud.

And getting back to that. It's typical Forza. Same stuff new locale. I'm just glad I can play any Forza on PC.

Same story so far. Race against a helicopter. Race against opponents. And expand the festival.

So what's going on with the game? Looking at the reviews on the MS Store site, there are as many negative reviews as positive.

Everyone freaks the first few days after release. So many releases are rocky at the start. Unless you absolutely must preorder or buy in early, just wait two weeks.

Also, GTAV is like 60gb. DOOM is 50gb. This is how big games are now. But yes, it's all Microsoft's fault. It was Microsoft's fault when PC games spanned 6 CDs or 1 DVD and people didn't want to buy DVD drives.

We are moving into the next generation. New GPUs, higher resolutions, bigger games. This isn't a problem if you set the right expectations, the first of which clearly is: buying a game right as its released has a chance of not being a smooth experience.

Bought the game for my son. He loves it playing on his PC. As for me, it seems like the same'ol Forza Horizon except that it's playable on PC.

I picked up my first racing wheel, Thrustmaster TMX Pro this past weekend. What a different experience playing with it, it's awesome. Game looks great and is running well for me.

To be able to play on both platforms you have to buy the digital version of the game. If you have a Windows 10 PC, you can download the game from the Windows store (for $59.99) to play on your PC. Or, buy digitally via your Xbox and then you can dl the game for free on your PC. You have to have the W10 Anniversary update installed for the Play Anywhere titles to work on PC.

So far this game has been flawless on ultra settings at 1440p. Very rare with games these days.

I haven't bought the game yet. At some point I will. It sounds like the game is well optimized for the PC. That's good news. I'm still going to stick by my general rule of waiting a few months for patches and a price decrease.

I can get the Forza 3 ultimate edition 50% off, for $50 (damn pricey game). I'm not that into racing games, but this looks like the kind I like, with casual play and lots of nice places and exploring. Think it's worth it?

(I could get the same deal for someone else for 2 more days, but they'd have to pay in advance, and the hassle really probably isn't worth it - but if someone really wants that and has a way to do it, PM me).

I don't know quite how to describe it, but the wandering/exploring aspect of it just doesn't seem as fun as it did in Test Drive Unlimited for example. Maybe because there's just not enough variation/landmarks. You have beach, urban, forest. Nothing really sets an area apart from the other. Maybe part of it is just the inconsistency in what's destructible combined with the occasionally bizarre offroading physics breaking the immersion and taking the joy out of exploring. The "exploring" just ends up feeling like an annoying time gate to unlocking actual races.

Thanks. I wouldn't buy this but have the 50% off for 2 more days and that makes me consider it. Not like normal games dropping in price nearly a year after release.

I bought my Xbox 360 as a media center, and to play PGR 3/4, Forza. I still have my 360 and could've continued using it as a media center, but I bought an Xbox One just to play Forza. Horizon started out as a great series, but I think they need some new material. The game looks amazing, but it gets old really fast (especially if you just have the base pack). They did good with the Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels DLC pack. Even the regular Forza Motorsport series gets really old as well. I like the selection of cars, but their upgrades are very disappointing.

The other problem I have with Forza is the overall experience is really expensive. I preorder the games, and I pay about $110 for the ultimate edition. Add on top of that the fees for DLC's...I'm glad for Play Anywhere. I don't have to purchase an Xbox to play Forza anymore.
