Any racing I do this weekend is simply to fund for Wednesday. I had 7000 credits last night after messing around a little with some of the cars. That's seven thousand :-o

race to level up so u can get the GT for free, then the upgrades will probably cost less than 100k

I sold my Daytona Coupe for $8.5 million on Wednesday. I should have listed it for more...it sold really quickly. If you need some funds I'll happily help ya out OSJ.

OK, there is something we've got to try. I was just browsing on the storefront with the Lotus 2-Eleven I bought (free DLC car) and they've got Go-Kart tunes for the car. Max speed is betwen 45-60 MPH. They even have Go-Kart paint jobs. All the tunes and paints are free. Eventually we're going to have to do short track Go-Kart night.

I think I'll be okay on money, I just need to spend a bit this afternoon doing some career races. There's a 6-race F class that I'm doing right now and it's worth a pretty decent amount, more so I think than any of the other races except maybe stuff like the class championships. I believe I'm back to around 150k.

The go kart stuff sounds like it might be fun. It'd definitely have to be the shortest tracks in the game, though, even Tsukuba probably would be too long, right?

my savegames were nearly corrupted yesterday. the game will start the but main screen with the side bar on the left and your car on the right won't show up. i moved the gamesaves between my HD and memory but the fix was spotty, worked one time and doesn't the other. given up hope I moved the saves back to the HD and gave it a last try, this time i just waited for it to come on and not switch it off too quickly, after like a few minutes, the main screen came up and it's trouble free since...

if your game freezes at the main screen, might be a good idea to wait a few minutes before trying anything...

p.s. my 03 viper's tearing up the public rooms, AWD

My RWD Viper GTS I like pretty good, just for the heck of it I gave that Ford GT you sent me a whirl on Mugello Short...it's like 1 second faster than my Viper and handles just as well. So much for that...

I still think AWD Vipers are heracy...

any AWD viper might as well have a picard facepalm vinyl down the side.

i have some AWD swaps i use for single player (the free gt500 makes a screaming AWD car), but i hate trying to play in pubs with people running the fastest RWD cars + AWD swap. i've been forced to stay in the RWD races to be competitive in something that's actually fun to drive.

I did a bit of career racing Sunday and managed to gain a few driver lvls, got the Shelby GT500. I was running on easy, although my other choices give +20% cash bonus, and I'll probably bump it up to medium at some point. For now though just going for the free driver lvl cars & the $.

Medium isn't too bad, I've completed most of the game (thus far) on Medium. Course, on the races where you have a 200 PI advantage over the next guy you might as well make it hard.

what car do you use for RWD rooms? I was running GT against 2 GT40s a few nights back, while my top speed could match theirs, i just don't have the level of crazy acceleration they got =(. The 355 is pretty good to spank noobs, but against blow by cars it just doesn't have much of a chance because of the lack of top end.

I almost bought a GT40 yesterday, didn't know if it was still a missile. I'm not much for rocket cars though.

I've got a couple of questions.

What are the PI ranges for the letter grades now?

I can go to event list and there are a lot that are showing unlocked, but it's only giving me a few choices of them through season play. Just an easy example would be the F class sunday race series, it skipped over that one & started me on the next higher one. Will they ever start showing or will I eventually have to go through the event list for them?

a lot of porsches work great, mustangs, f bodies, whatever, really. so long as i can keep a little concentration (it's hard), i can stay competitive in about anything. the biggest problem is definitely top speed, i always build cars with somewhat competent handling and gear them well enough to compete in acceleration. i have an A class F355 challenge that is superawesome, but pulling 1.3G's means that it's a little limited on power.

GT40's were probably trouncing you because of weight distribution and tires. once you get to A class, managing wheelspin is a big factor.

900 R2

season play will always only give three choices. it's lame, unless you want the achievements, just use the event list.

When you do season play, it just picks three events. It usually says something like "use your current car" or "try a new car" or "see new tracks." But it doesn't always advance you through the events from the lowest end to the highest end. You'll skip a lot just doing season play. You can just go to the event list if you want and go in order, but I find it a little more fun to do the seasons. Also, doing season play gets you Xbox Live achievements.

hopeless if you are going for the free car and money the good money/xp races are the world tour and world champions, and stuff like asia tour, euro tour, etc. u should be in pretty good shape after you done those in F through A. you can turn everything off and pick a dumb opponent, i am pretty sure u can handle them even without aids.

Thanks, is the PI number the highest for that class or is that where the class starts?

That's what I was wondering. I've been doing season play & all the sudden it only started offering me races in the other event list sets when I haven't even done all the races from the first single column set.

Anyone know if you go through the event list to pick a race do you still get the bonus money for completing the series?

I think the main appeal of season play is to get more of an accelerated progression through the game. It changes the feel of the game from slow grinding (doing EVERY race in order is tedious) to more of a steady advancement.

Is it slower?

A600 in FM3 doesn't seem that much slower than A850 in FM2 but then again I've never compared my times.
