At that point why not just see if we can decide on a single car then and make it spec?

I like the idea, kind of, but I do not think it will fly. I say we have a limited list of competitive cars ( that are usually even on the track ) and choose from those.

Yeah, but the good thing is that (hopefully) no-one is going to pick a crappy car because there'd be a 1/6 or 1/8 chance or whatever that you'd end up with it.

Then lets narrow our list to 3-4 good cars.

I'd rather pick my own car, but that could just as well go into the lottery. The fact of the matter is we still need a list of some kind. I think we've pretty much settled on a couple of things.

1. A600
2. RWD or FWD?
3. Full Aero?
4. ? ? ?
5. ? ? ?

Anything to narrow the list down more is going to help.

Car must have at least 3 wheels.

Seriously though, I say we lock down RWD only (does anyone really want to drive a FWD car?). Full aero I like but if everyone says it kills some of the cars I guess we can skip it.

I think we're agreed on A600 RWD and my vote would be for full aero. I don't know the cars as well as everyone else, though, so my $.02 may not really be worth a full couple pennies :p I do want to start building something tonight if I can since I'm going to be busy most of the weekend. I think there's a 360CS and a GT3 with my name on it.

Ill probably end up running my 360CS. Hopefully I can tweak a few seconds off of some lap times with it.

I will be running Dodge RAM. I love racing trucks!

So, we've settled on the car rules. A600, RWD, Full Aero. Anything else? Can we finalize this?

im ok with the above rule. another thing, full areo does it mean they have to be installed or they have to be tuned to give max downforce as well?

Installed. Tweak downforce levels at your whimsy I say.

Power:weight plays into your hands, we shall allow a 1600 hp cap for your Ram.

I believe we can finalize this and plan to make up differences with starting times / position. If we can't force starting times, we can, at the very least, go with the honor system on starts.

The starts would be so that, in a perfect race with everyone being consistent, the end of the race is very close. It's the same way they do it in drag racing with each side of the tree going green at different times.
