We are now on ..... week 4! of the Custom Paint Job competition. Blortov has swept the last two and is looking to make it a third. Meanwhile, CK apparently managed to hit ludicrous speed prior to this week's event and Waldo was testing out making explosive devices out of tampons and rubberbands.

1 Vote for waldo because of the clean lines on the car. It doesn't have to be fancy to be good IMHO.
 
I definitely need to contract out my painting. I can't paint to save my life. The tutorials just make my head explode. I lack all artistic talent. Making objects out of simple shapes just isn't something I can wrap my head around.

And definitely, thanks for posting the poll again, Queasy. Even though I'm terrible at it, I think it's a fantastic meta game for the weekly race night.

Hmmm never looked at it that way. Just went for something funky looking and was fairly simple to do. I spent no more than 45 mins on this (20 of that was just trying out different ideas before settling on this) so not much time into it.

I soooooooo wanted to vote for berries and cream. But had to go for the Aztec car in the end, that thing is just sharp!!

I didn't really design my car, just painted it (not intending to be in the competition). I've never designed a car before, mayhaps I'll try my hand at it with the Z28.
 
Some very nice paint jobs this week guys! I think my imagination for painting cars is tapped out though.
 
I think there needs to be some sort of prize for winning. Let the winner pick the theme for the next weeks design or let them pick the car we use for that week or...something. Course, I guess at this rate Blortov would be picking most of the time...so maybe it's not the best of ideas...
 
I will be relinquishing my crown if I win this week, I dont want to discourage people from spending time on their designs. I will still make a design but I wont be part of the voting. Also, if anyone needs some help coming up with ideas or has an idea but needs a starting place on their design I can help out, just send me a PM. Keep up the good work I liked what I saw this past week.

For the record, I voted for Waldo's car since my vote is worth 12 votes to him.
 
Did my first ever paint job today since I can't really race. Definately not up to par with alot of the these but I'm learning. Had a bunch of fun making it (although it is deinately time consuming) so I made another one after that (the first I made doesn't really work on the Z28) and applied it. Didn't have any ideas/sketches to go off of so I just started and came up with ideas as I worked.

Might make a few more before Wednesday, so we'll see what ends up on the car.
 
Wow a little closer this week than I thought ... Blortov and Waldo neck and neck.

Also my vehicular paint duties have been officially turned over to my wife now. She did a pretty good job on the Z28 for this week. Doubtful it can dethrone Blortov but she really got into it so the job is hers now.

I've been busy with my sister and nephew visiting since Friday so I haven't had time to do a paint job yet. I'm probably going to have to slap something together at the last second!
 
I'll be honest with ya Queasy I really liked yours. I thought it was extremely creative and turned out really good.

Thanks, my plan is to keep up the paints jobs, but take my self out of the competition. I'll quit while I'm ahead with 3 cookies.

Oh just wait, I'll get him tonight! Although I'm predicting that I'll get "0" votes next week at least I'll preserve my small amount of "artistic integrity."
