You guys are making me feel like I made a really bad pick this week. :p Let's switch to the Barracuda I suggested. The Cobra is just sounding like a giant PITA right now.

No no, lets roll with it. It'll be a fun challenge! We'll have to adapt the driving style :p

Hey, that's just my opinion, anyone else wanna offer some insight? I vote for keeping it...plus I already spent a ton of $$ on the car and upgrades :p

I don't know... I'd much rather have a 'Cuda than a Cobra. I did one of the Factory Spec races with a stock Cobra and found it to be almost impossible to control.

BTW, update on me:

1. Couldn't make it last week because a friend was visiting from out of town.
2. I do have Motegi. It's discounted to 240 MS points now so people should get it if they don't have it yet.
3. No idea what happened with cat and mouse last week... I saw someone suggest a really weird sort of "relay race" that I thought would be way too confusing. Did you actually do that? Did it end up being confusing or did it work out? My vote would be for regular old C&M, since it's simpler and can be played with an odd number of people if necessary (by having a freelance cat).
4. To reiterate, I'd vote 'Cuda for this week, but I'll try the Cobra if that's what other people want.

I'll race whatever, whenever.

I just remembered that next week is my pick... I'll try to have it done by Wednesday night.

All pink night??

And Luigi, these aren't stock, they've got sticky tires, better breaks, and they weigh less, just no aero. They "should" still handle alot better than a stock car.

I hear you, kabob, and I know they won't be as difficult to control as the stock ones. Still, given the choice, I'd pick the Barracuda every time. It's ultimately Queasy's decision.

Alright, just won a copy of Forza + Marvel: UA on ebay. I've already got Marvel, so if any of you fellow racers want this copy it's yours if you'll pay for shipping.

Aww, Queasy, don't worry about it. Just because I prefer the Barracuda doesn't mean you have to pick it. Nothing wrong with the Cobra, it just takes a little more skill to drive.

Kabob: PM sent.

Queasy, you could post the req's for the cuda you were thinking of and everyone make both cars. Than we can run the Corba and if it's just too unwieldly we can switch over to the cuda.

Suck it up pansies! The car choice was a Cobra. Deal with it!

Oh yea, my 360 is dead so I won't be able to join in. Sorry! I was really looking forward to driving this awesome car. Really...I am...no really.

I might be up for some in a little bit, Spidey. I need to watch the season premiere of NCIS but after that, I'll probably be back on for a bit to try to wrangle the Cobra some more.

Haven't built yet....to be clear:

S998 1965 Cobra, NO ENGINE upgrades?

I think what many are struggling with is probably the age of the car and chassis/suspension, forza tried to be realistic ya know.

That's how I built mine. It's a tough car to drive for sure. Have to be very careful with it. It is a 40 year-old car, after all.

hmmm, more weight might actually be better.

She's tough to handle, should make for some fun racing. I'll tune this bitch and make her purr. Throttle control is everything with this lady.

Alright I spent a little quality time with my pick tonight tuning it and what not and I'm actually surprised at how fun it is to drive. Almost too responsive but still extremely fun (to me). Just have to either lay off or gently roll the throttle around the curves and never give it alot of gas unless you are 100% straight. And never press all the way down on the gas when you are cresting a hill.

I almost agree with Spidey that not doing weight reduction almost seems to help because the car is already so light.

I'm going to try and be there on time but I've got traffic cop duty at my church because it is hosting a speech by Clark Howard. Everyone else gets sound financial advice while I wear a silly orange vest and try not to get run over! Yay!

That sounds to me like we're not even going to bother with the Barracuda? I don't think I even have one. I can probably get one off the auction house but is that not a North American only car?

It's under the Chrysler section. There are plenty on the Auction House.

I practiced with the Cobra last night for about 15 mins as well. Queasy is exactly right, you cannot just get on it. Very easy on the throttle and its not too bad. Still a challenge but not ridiculous.

Yeah, let's not bother with the Barracuda. Sounds like most don't have one anyway.

Only thing I noticed last night was snap off throttle oversteer. That's probably the deceleration diff? I also played around with some caster and camber settings and it's much better.

Overall an extremely powerful under 2000 pound car on 30 year old suspension, and it acts like it. ;)
