Forwarding work related emails back home to personal email account

Just wondering if people's who do this ever got into trouble for it? Lets say for things like promotional info that you need to read up on or personal profile/assignment information that you simply don't feel like doing at work or the work doesn't provide you with that time and expect you to complete it on your own personal time?

I do this quite a bit myself and have never had any troubles with it. Provided I don't go around distributing company internal promotional information to the public.
