I'm wanting to make an online forum for work. Something that people can logon to and have open discussions to replace an Email listserve. I was thinking about setting it up on a linux box, but I need some advice... I need to know what free products are available. I work for the gubment so I might get a licensing break that way too...

Any good products available that are easy to use? Thanks-

Vbulletin is pretty good. Invision is a good free alternative. I used invision to set up a board for a church youth group, and it worked pretty good for their purposes.

I would say after using both phpBB and invision, you don't even want to bother with phpBB. Its terrible in comparison to Invision. Especially from the management aspect of it.
