Too bad. When will people learn that the ONLY thing MS should EVER do is run your gaming rig. They're incapable of stability in ANY other environment. 8-(

There was never really any need. I was always comfortable that anand forums were up and working fine. If it ain't broke I don't care how it works.

You need to get your head out of your ass. ASP.NET is a very competent web application environment. The anandtech forums had plenty of other problems prior to their .NET conversion.

an out of memory error doesnt mean anything went wrong, to me it simply means there are WAY too many people trying to hit this server today (no one wants to work on a monday after long weekend).

.Net servers are the only ones I've seen that will still send a detailed reply when overloaded, at least I know whats going on, most servers that are getting pounded just stop responding all together, or send puke.
 
Sorry all, I've just had a lifetime of grief from everything MS. I'm sure it works great for many people, I won't touch em if you offer me seven figures a year to do it. They run a competent gaming platform. Otherwise, screw em. 8-(
