I'm giving Firefox a whirl and I came across a problem that I thought was FF related but I can duplicate the problem in IE. If I search over at the MozillaZine forums for example, then I try to open one of the results, it doesn't. It gives a "gateway has lost connection" error, which seems bogus to me. The results have the "highlight" term in them to highlight your search terms. If I remove that term, the thread loads fine. So basically, this doesn't work:

This is fine:

I'm pretty sure this has worked fine in the past so what's wrong? I tried Googling for this but they are such common terms.

I don't know what to tell you, both links work fine for me in IE6, Firefox 1.0.1, and Opera 8b2.

Hmmm. Must be something with my work system here or some wierd firewall thing. I'll have to try it at home and see if it works.

I was hoping for some insite to this. :(

If I delete say the letter "t" from the word "highlight" it loads fine in FF but not in IE. This is strange.

Had a coworker try the link, doesn't load for hime either so it must be our setup here at work. This is the specific error. Any server gurus know what I could tell IS to get it fixed?

YAAY, fixed it. I had a bunch of coworkers try it and it worked for one. The difference in his setup from mine? Different proxy server.
