Forums keep crashing

I am having an issue with the AT Forums lately. I'll be using them, then suddenly, usually after posting a message, my IE window will just sit there for more than 10 minutes doing nothing. My only option is to close the window, then open up a new window and go back to the forums. It's a huge PITA and you guys should fix it!

SickBeast - no one can help you without more information bud. You're going to have to post your OS, browser, any SP's applied. Then try clearing out your cache and cookies completely and reboot if you haven't done that in a while.

Can't do anything about this problem, as i can't see it here. Posts happen in a few tenths of a second, no issues at all. If this is happening to you at 3-5am then you're out of luck, the databases perform daily maintenance and backups at that time. It will be slower at those times, but since that is non peak times, we are not concerened about that.

The more information the better.

We don't/can't fix things unless they can be repeated.

OK here is my setup:

Windows XP SP1
IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Athlon XP Mobile 2500+
Abit NF7-S nForce2 board
1BG PC3200

My system is 100% stable so that's not the problem. I'll try clearing the cache and history and try again. It only happens while posting or editing a message, and occurs about 1 in every 8 posts or so for me. I'm never up at 5am so that's not the issue unfortuately.

I've been posting for the last half an hour no issues at all, so far this is isolated which leads me to believe its end user, or internet connection related. Hard to do anything from here since the servers and application are just fine...

If the forums was taking 10 minutes for everyone to post, there would be a heck of alot more than yourself in here asking for help... so it almost has to be something beyond anandtechs network.

I haven't had any issues at all since the Jrun thing got fixed. IE 6, IE 5.5, Firefox, Mozilla under Win98, ME, 2K, XP all OK
