Forums are extremely slow

...during the last week or so. Sometimes clicking on a link produces several seconds long waiting. Really weird. Are there any technical problems or something?

3/15/2014 -- The Boyz In The Server Room, the exalted and munificent Powers That Be, have released the sacred incense and murmured the appropriate incantations in order to appease the Gods of Forum Loading Time. Chime in with any results -- good or bad, that you have noticed. And, yes, it IS the Ides of March!

This seems to come and go, I also noticed sometimes when I post a reply it just hangs forever. I've even given up waiting figuring "meh that post is not that important" and move on, and the post somehow actually does show up later! How that is possible I have no idea, since if you interrupt a HTTP POST request you would think it just cancels it.

I would think the info has been received at the other end and is queued up

Just not "processed" and return page transmitted
 
Still seeing very slow forums today, at least for me. Posting is fine, but they are very slow to load.
 
Been seeing this my self too across 2 different machines. it will either take a while to load the whole post or sometimes it will load the first item in the post and then waits and then loads the rest of the post
 
Still seeing it today, even worse than before. For me, it seems to be the worst when moving from one forum to another (initial forum loads are very, very slow).
 
Yes, forums are getting worse by the day. Right now it's at the point where I keep thinking my browser has crashed. Time to upgrade those servers to Intel chips!! 😀
 
I'm having slowness issues, and the "recently replied threads" function in User CP is super slow to update as well. I'll go there, click on a thread, go back to User CP, the same threads (and same recent posts) are still there. They update/disappear only after some length of time.
