Does anyone know what the deal is with the forums being down so often for routine maint or otherwise? None of the other forums I go to go down nearly as often.


BTW Please fix tapatalk. It works a few days a week but seems broken most of the time.

Definitely not. I used to spend an hour or so browsing from my phone every sat morning but recently gave up my routine because it was down so often.


It might've been the first 'scheduled' outage or something like that, but the forums are full out down at least once a week - I've noticed and I wouldn't consider myself someone who is here a lot.

eh, no. the 400/503 outage happened about 3 times this week. The "Forums are down for routine maintenance" down times occur about 4 times per week--and that has been so since moving to VB.

It's easier for us west coasters to notice this, b/c late night/early morning for you is ~11pm for us.

I've been emailing Anand ahead of every planned trip to the forums. That way, he can let me know if they are up before I attempt to log in. This saves me the frustration of trying to access the forums only to learn that they are down again.

I must say, Anand is a stand up guy. He's quite punctual in keeping me abreast of the situation on an hourly basis.
