I have an issue with forum user Schmide. This kind person, I use the term loosely, decided to take it upon himself to police the For Sale Forum and tell everyone who is within the guidelines posted, for bumping their posts at the minimum of 3 hours.

This fellow decides that he would like to quote the rules not only to myself but at least 3 or 4 other individuals as well. While I can certainly see this as falling under the "informing newbies about the rules" policy, my thread, as well as another users thread, have been open and bumped for more then a month.

Instead of presenting the issue to a mod or even taking the issue up with me, or any other poster personally, this idiot decides break a rule of his own and crap in all of our threads. While I am certainly not directing this at any mods, but apparently this jerk decides to hold everyone to a double standard.

Please remind him that he is NOT a moderator and if there is an issue with my, or anyone else's thred, he needs to take it to the proper person(s) instead of taking upon himself to attempt to make us sellers look back, but himself as a douche.

If you feel that I am in the on this issue, by all means let me know so we can have a discussion about it, thank you!

edit:
since someone else will probably say it, "callout threads" ,which this is, are not permitted in PFI. PM the mod if ya have an issue.

All I see is someone who really shouldn't be talking. No Thread crapping still applies here I would think.

1) No trolling, flaming or personally attacking members. Deftly attacking ideas and backing up arguments with facts is acceptable and encouraged. Attacking other members personally and purposefully causing trouble with no motive other than to upset the crowd is not allowed.

12) Do not contact individual moderators. Please direct violations of these guidelines to moderator@anandtech.com, AnandTech Moderator by PM or post in Personal Forum Issues to request attention for something. Please be patient with moderation requests and inquiries. Users found in violation of this directive will be given only one warning and pointed in the right direction before further action is taken.

Am I missing something here?

Why should I troll in a forum that I have no other reason to read through?

You on the other hand seem to have nothing better to do, but I see thats why your a mod correct?

So unless you have something constructive to contribute to the discussion, I'd ask for you to QFT.

you know, junior, with an attitude like that.. you wont last long around here. the only troll i see is you. learn to accept advice when given to ya. the real world isn't like your elementary school, where if you dont like when someone gives you advice, you go running to the teacher and tattle. in the real world... your boss would fire ya for being a crybaby like that.

i predict a vaction for you in less than 6 months.

I did nothing wrong with the way I approached the situation with the person in question. I followed the guidelines posted that I agreed to follow when I signed up as a user. You should not bitch or moan about anything I say if I am doing it in a manner that was posted in the user guidelines as the correct action to take, just as if I have an issue with someone or something at work. But you seem to have a sense of entitlement that appears to make you believe you know better then anyone else, so you make assumptions about me that you couldn't be more wrong about. You of all people should know about making assumptions right?

Instead of being a jerk, why not offer your "advice" in a constructive manner that is conducive to helping people learn instead of a feeble attempt at insulting someone?

I think Schmide doesn't understand what "serial bumping" is. I'll let a FS/FT moderator know that there seems to be a problem.

Now I'm going to lock it so that the other wannabe mods can rest.
