I sometimes put in forum.anandtech.com, without putting the "s" in there like it should be. Mabye you could have that point to the correct place(here). I dont know what this entails or the ramifications of it, i'm just throwin it out there.

I'm an admin at another forum, and I suppose that some people think that it's cool to be able to permaban someone on a whim... I just don't think there's much of a point tho. Most people just create new usernames and come back (after either changing their IP or ISP, depending on the severity of the situation 😉 )... some people don't want that to happen because they are known as being someone, and they just don't want to lose their virtual identity (I'm GeekDrew on nearly every site I'm a member at, obvious example is the forum I'm an admin at - GigglyGrinch (http://forums.planethzl.com). If I were banned... I don't know if I would find my way back or not... I really doubt it. If I were to come back, it would be extremely hard for me to not reveal my true identity, simply because I'm told that I have a bit of a unique personality that people easily identify, and because I'm friends (IRL) with several members of the forums.
