It is a little inconvenient to click a subscription link in an email that takes me to the first page of a very long thread. I have to go back to the main page and then click "last" to get to where the new reply is. It would be great if the email link lead me to the latest reply or if I could click "last" on the first page of the the thread to get to the new reply.

It's impossible to do anything else, you aren't logged in to fusetalk in your e-mail client so there is absolutely no way to know where the first and last pages are according to your preferences.

You cannot 🙂 THat's what i mean't they are two completely different technologies.

you can't? on the page numbers up there the >> is a hyperlink to the very last page. I would not see why that would not be on the subscription pages.
