Haven't posted in the OT section before...but just realized something I'd certainly appreciate, and wanted to see if anybody else would, too.
When the Mods have a point to make to everybody, they usually post a msg about it in the appropriate forum, and then quite a few will respond to it, to keep it 'bumped' or 'to the top' so that others won't miss the important announcement.
I just thought it'd be a good idea for the Mods, and the Mods alone, to have a separate function when posting a msg like that for the general forum population in any topic that would keep that particular message at the top for a given period of time, say two weeks, or whatever would be deemed appropriate.
A prime example, in my eyes, would be the ps2 bans from the For Sale/Trade forum, or when the Mods had issues with @home email addresses. Therefore, if a newbie was to sign up for the forum, and get ready to post a message...he's already informed of something he might have been posting about.
Heck, I'd even say it would be a good idea to have the TOP thread of each forum be a carbon copy of the rules/regs that we agreed to when we signed up to be able to use the forum.
Oh well, just thought I'd throw that out there...I don't have too many insightful ideas, and was semi-proud of that one, until I started dragging it on and on and on...
