I see things are finally back in action. I was getting nothing but "Oops" error messages this morning when accessing forums.anandtech.com. Also, Dailytech.com wouldn't let me browse any articles.

What gives?

We were performing an upgrade to software related to the ad servers and the new software had a small bug. It has since been fixed.

Yeah, when I first logon early this morning, I noticed the really really slow AT forum page opening. I thought something was wrong with my server. I soon discovered it was AT. Then the page shut down abruptly and only links to other AT pages worked.

It was a short inconvenience, but no matter because the outage was only a few minutes. Glad to have AT back and running.

Thank you "friendly admin." :)
Nice to know you guys behind the scenes are handling your business. And by "handling" I mean "screwing up." ;):p

Good to have AT running once again, I never knew that the site is going to be out though.

Great work correcting the bugs.

I read that and got all excited, thinking it would fix the loading of the Gigabyte ad - no such luck. It still just loads... and loads... and loads... without finishing.

Why it's never my fault! ;)

Problems with specific ads or coding related issues I do not handle. As far as I'm aware, those various parties do perioridically check this forum for issues though. We are in the process of building new servers and will be doing some minor software upgrades along with the hardware.

No, I'm not Jason Clark. That has been clarified in the past. He still posts under the same handle he always has. Although I cannot comment on the prices and reasons for choosing the forums software as I am not involved with that aspect of the business.

Ah, I didn't get wind of that. My apologies. :)
