Is there any maintenance going on every morning on the forums? A few minutes after 3AM Central, the forums seem to stop responding for 10 minutes or so. Is this like a scheduled thing or something? This has happened every nite this week. (Well, the 4 or 5 I've been on at that time.)

Just curious. If it is something scheduled, I'll make sure I'm not in the middle of a reply during that time.

 
3AM? LOL. Most all backups etc run during the time most people should be in bed which is right around that time.

Now that the db is nearing 10GB backups take a bit and do cause a slow down for sure, no way around that without
spending mucho buks.

And how far behind the UK is that? Cos that may explain why it seems to be dead sometimes when I try to connect!

I just got cable and the forums load slower then my old 56.6 modem witch I could only get 25kb/s it seems to load a little faster without zonealarm running. but im not going to turn off zonealarm. any ideas why it loads so sloooow?
