Forum maintenance

Could it be done every night instead of weekly? It would be so nice to have the forums work right everyday and not just on Saturdays.

The button that takes you to the last post you've viewed in a thread doesn't work for me, hasn't for months. I also can't tell which threads have new posts. I've been told that the problem is on my end, but everything works just fine every Saturday, and every other site I visit works perfectly as well. A few others have the same problem.

So my point is that if they did whatever "maintenance" is every night, the forums would work for me all the time.

On CITY-DATA.COM/forum its done every morning @ 3:10am (Central time) -- They do it then as it will affect the least amount of ppl....

This isn't happening en masse; haven't seen that problem myself (using 3 different machines and 3 different browsers). It's something to do with your browser, plugins, software installed, OS, patches, ecetera.
