I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but every once in a while when I go back to the thread listing in a topic I get an error. Here is a screenshot. I am on Windows 98 with all service packs and critical updates using IE 6 also fully updated. Anyone have any ideas?

You a subscriber? If not, it might have something to do with the bandwidth cap?

Actually this has nothing to do with browsers, or the forums. All it is is a broken transfer, more than likely happened on between the server and you.

Simple :)

w00t! I got the Great and Powerful Zuni to respond. Well as long as it is not me or the forums I am ok with it.

P.S. - When will we see Jada doing some of the work around here? :p

turning off page caching sometimes helps Yakko

here is my FAQ I posted in another thread.

for anyone who doesn't know how to turn off page cacheing, I wrote a little step by step,

It is inconspicuasly hidden,
Go to Tools > Internet Options
Under the general tab in the middle there is a boxed area labled "Temporary Internet Files" with three buttons, "Delete Cookies" "Delete Files..." "Settings..."
Click the "Settings..." Button,

On the window that pops up, you have a few settings need to change
Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" select "Every visit to the page"
Below that area is another labled box area named "Temporary internet files folder" there is a slider and a text box.
In the text box, enter 1, that will set it to only store 1mb of cached files (for some stupid reason it won't let you select 0. 1 is the lowest it will go.)

That basicly disables page caching since your checking for new versions of the page every time you visit it, and are limiting the amount of data stored about webpages.
I suggest doing this only on broadband, if your a modem user this will most likely kill your "page load" times.

Hehe jada likes to bang on the keys, unfortunately none of it is usable :) But, she smiles and giggles which is really all that matters :).
