Forum Callout: Learned a new term today, still not sure what it means.

Educate me ATOT.

Started a thread today, in which I mentioned I saw an ATOT member on another forum. I was informed that what I did was a 'callout' and that it shouldn't be done. And I'm a little confused.

What exactly is a callout? Is it just mentioning someone belongs to another forum?

First reply seems to have answered your question. The conversation in the other thread would have been just fine, had it not been for specifically naming one poster & his behavior on other forums. -Admin DrPizza

Starting a thread about another member is a callout. It's considered rude and creepy-stalker-ish.
