Forton AX400 400W or Antec Smartpower 2 350W?

I know the two power supplies are 50W difference but is the Antec higher quality and thus still a better choice or should I go for the higher wattage of the Fortron? thanks, Rob

Right now I would only buy PSUs with their actual manufacturers' names on them. Big middlemen like Antec are putting so much price pressure on their OEMs that corners are being cut. Ref. the reports of bad caps on some Antec models. Channel Well (who actually makes most Antec PSUs) is now selling PSUs direct under their own name. So right now I'd buy Fortron (actual PSU mfr.), Channel Well, Seasonic, Enhance (usually sold here under the Silverstone name - but SS hasn't the clout of an Antec to put price pressure on their OEM), etc. over any Antec of similar spec. Channel Well is also sold under the XClio name and XClio is in the same boat as SS re. clout.
. Fortron continues to be as reliable as Antec used to be.
