Watching it now on TBS. Wish I would have been alive during all that stuff, I think it would have made the movie even better for me.
 
great movie.. watched it for the second time today.... On a side note, I hate it when TBS replays its movies throughout the weekend!

Excellent movie.. Touches most things about life in general. If only every person had that "gump" in them the world would be a better place.

Seriously. I can't stand Toms Hanks (except in Saving Private Ryan where he finally got that damn smirk off his face) so I never saw Forrest Gump because I figured it would be two hours of that stupid smirk.

The only part I wish I were alive for was the music. Man, how I wished I could have been at Woodstock, Monterrey, etc.
 
I just read the book, and turns out it's completely different than the movie...

I was surprised how little similarities there were...
