What is Formula Boinc ?

Formula Boinc (FB) is a ranking system for the Boinc teams, based on the principle of the Formula 1 Championship. Each project is considered as a "Grand-Prix". The 8 best teams on each project get a fixed number of FB points. The general Formula Boinc ranking is simply obtained by adding all FB points of each team.

This way, the number of credits (cobblestones) of each team counts less than its ranking and the number of projects each team is participating in.

right now we're at position 23 with 18 points.
 
Seems this adds a lot of weight to smaller projects which are easier to rank up in. For example our enigma team at 4th with only 650k points. And they are also going by total points of just 2008, our Enigma team is 2nd so far in 2008!

They need some sort of algorithm that will give points for rank, weighted by total project production.
