What with how the GOP Ministry of Propaganda has been mind-fucking their people with non-stop doom and gloom, fear, hate, suspicion and doubt about their fellow citizens who "aren't like themselves", it's no small wonder that their sympathizers and even their own cadre are increasingly wandering off into a nightmarish looney land full of "murderous immigrants, gays, trannys and commie socialists" that need to be gotten rid of.

I also feel compelled to call out your last line. Which, I'm not sure if you're calling for that (since you seem to have repeatedly condemned even suggesting such, in fact it seems to be the implied argument you use when you cry foul about people calling out this behavior as awful, that its going to lead to violent response - despite that not really happening in any of the situations that you keep trying to go "but we can't let liberals because they'll start killing these people calling for them to be killed!"). That has not been happening. It has been abundantly clear which side should be condemned, and yet for years, you've declared that its the side being targeted and victimized that are the real concern. My answer is that you don’t see what they are becoming because you underestimate the nature of self hate because you are afraid to feel it within yourself. I think I am more aware of how deep our rage is because I have more deeply explored it.

I am not set up to defend myself with weapons. My indifference is greater than my fear, but, if a mass psychotic outbreak on the right occurs, I do have an opportunity to prepare. What I am not afraid of is my rage being projected on others because I have survived opening the door on it and knowing it’s real roots in my past.

No need to project the repressed as a way to keep it that way.

I like guns like I like works of art. They are beautiful masterpieces of aesthetic genius. I haven’t shot one in decades. All the gun threads got me interested in the ones I inherited so bought some more recently. Fun but expensive so probably done.

You know what civil war actually is?

Militia's going door to door and shooting civilians they are not absolutely sure support their faction. And looting said formerly occupied civilian homes for the "cause". At the end of the war, those militias all get pardoned. IRA? pardoned. Confederate Home Guard? pardoned. Bleeding Kansas factions? - deliberately forgotten about. AQ in Syria? Amnesty. NDF in Syria? - vassalized as the new feudal lords

You don't want a civil war. Your options in a civil war are to either flee or join the militia and murder civilians in cold blood.

So your positions on violence against public servants is #bothsides?

The only one I can think of in the last 10 years is the Steve Scalise shooter. If I made a list on the other side I could come up with 30 just from memory and likely double that with a little work.

In the Scalise shooting Democrats were unified in their support for him. In the case of Nancy Pelosi's husband's attack he was mocked.
