i'm probably not expressing it correctly but the gist of it is:

when i see people with power/money try and play themselves off as christian publicly/privatly it brings out the cynic in me, it just rubs me the wrong way, let your actions speak louder than your words?
100% this. Tots and prayers are bullshit when you can actually *do* something

Honestly I didn't think it was all that bad. The guy is religious and said pray for the employees as the company is going through hard times.

I don't subscribe to his religion but as long as he wasn't using religion to make business decisions for the company when he was CEO who really cares?

Seems like a lot of the technical types that post on this forum, if you mention anything at all, no matter how trivial, that triggers any association in their minds with anything religious, it will causes them to wet their pants. And if you dare to suggest there might be something irrational about that, prepare to be attacked. Sadly, we all grew up in a culture where any imperfection in you world view was seen as an opportunity to bask in the glory of self righteous rectitude, and garner for yourself all the credit for regurgitating the proper sycophantic Stockholm generated answer to the dispensers of fake love and attention around you. Such is life.

So nice to see a few here that don't seem to have that need. For those who do, consider changing. You'll feel better in the long run.
