Needing to decide on some groomsmen gifts, but everything seems kinda hokey. What groomsmen gifts have you gotten before that you liked?
 
I'm interested in this as well (I'm getting married in May). Mikey, how much are you budgeting for gifts for your groomsmen? Are you spending more on your best man?
 
I bought him a best buy gift certificate back when I Didn't think that best buy was evil.
I think that I got him something else that was shiny too...
 
for our wedding, my husband only had two groomsmen, one was my little brother and then his older brother.

We tried to find things they would like, but it was hard because neither one of them would have used a silver money clip engraved with their initals.

we got them "services". (not a hooker) My brother always wanted to learn how to surf, so we got him a surf lesson.

husbands brother is a somewhat metro-sexual(not in a bad way) and we were going to get him a massage on the beach, but he didnt want that so we ended up giving him our TV (sounds bad, but we were selling it for about 150$ anyways and he wanted one)

I say, if you don't have too many GM, try and find out what they really like, what their hobbies are and go along those lines.
 
I recieved diamond studded engraved cuff links at one wedding, An all inclusive weekend vacation package in the Keys for two at another wedding, and a cheese and sausage basket at another wedding. I thought the cuff links were the most thoughtful.

Not firm on a budget yet, as I'm so unsure on the gifts. My initial thought was $25-30 each and more for the best man. We have 4 so don't want to go overboard.

When my friend got married, I was an usher. Me and the other usher got a case of beer and I think something else what was pretty cheap. Considering how much it cost to rent a tux, and the multiple trips from where I live to the wedding and the test-run, I kinda thought it was a pretty cheapo gift. Though I think there were some money issues, so I don't hold it against him or anything...

no, I have friends whose wive's daddies are rich.
 
Got a nice flask with my initials engraved on it, and before the bachelor party the best man had a massive bottle of Belvedere ready to split up among them. Great gift.
 
I got a very nice toolbox set with a full set of tools from Brookstone. We all flew in because it was with her family on the other side of the country so it was a challenge getting it back on the plane. They opened every container for me too to make sure there were no bombs I guess.
 
Sex with the bride not only shows that both of you care, but provides vivid memories you can all laugh about time and time again.
