If you look at the NYC per capita crime rate it is one of the safest big cities.

Its pointless, they straight up are admitting facts don't matter and they're just reverting to their own self-admitted idiocy. And even in spite of that are declaring they're willing to make the exact same stupid decisions.

Honestly sounds to me like they just discovered Nextdoor or whatever those "neighborhood" apps are where its just a bunch of people posting every asshole thought in their heads and/or all the right wing conspiracy garbage they hear about on Fox or other even more garbage places. Around 5 years ago they were going bonkers claiming white vans were driving through suburban neighborhoods kidnapping tens of thousands of kids, despite, you know, literally no evidence supporting any of that (well, occassionally they'd dupe a local news station, which would then have a story on a supposed kidnapping - which didn't occur and almost always when it was properly looked into it turned out it was one of these people with their minds poisoned with right wing agit prop claiming they saw an attempted kidnapping at like a store when it was just a dad putting his kids in the car or some shit like that).

He benefitted from being in office during the great crime downturn of the 90s. Often called the "Aborted crime wave" because the drop in crime directly correlates with the legalization of abortion some 18-20 years earlier.

In reality, Rudy had nothing to do with the reduction of crime in the 90s any more than the Clintons did.

You can thank the legalization of abortion for that.

According to Judy Nathan (Rudy's old lady at the time) and Rudy himself did say Herr Mayor had prostate cancer and declined to discuss whether his um, private fountain worked on its own, needed batteries or a full replacement.

So, who knows?

The Town is only the 11th most dangerous city?!

Damn Gentrification has been hitting Oakland hard...

Either that or people just gave up and stopped calling the police.

Milwaukee (#12 most dangerous) and Richmond, VA (#15 most dangerous) were surprises to me, especially Milwaukee. OTOH how Bridgeport, CT missed the most dangerous list amazes me.

I absolutely believe her. Right wingers have tried to discredit her Jan 6 testimony but have been unable. Remember her testimony about Trump and Secret Service? The SS publicly claimed it wasn't true yet no agent has said that under oath. Her testimony has been invaluable in the Jan 6 investigation.

Rudy on the other hand has a history as borne out by this thread. Remember him trying to take his pants off in front of an actress pretending to be underage for the new Sasha Baron Cohen movie?
