Greetings
OK, how do I format my C: which already has WinXP on it? I want to format my C: and put a freash install of my OS.

I do not have a floppy as I built my system without it. But now I have to format my HDD and when I put boot up with my WinXP CD it keeps trying to install WinXP on my second HDD.

So how do I make the WinXP cd format the C: ???

Thanks
:D

Boot to the XP CD. Tell it to format the C: drive and install it there.

Boot to the XP CD. Tell it to format the C: drive and install it there.

it doesn't give me an options to format, infact it will only reinstall the OS by deleting the Windows folder (on the C:) but it will leave all the ohter folders on the C:

unless there is something that I am missing?

Delete the fvckin partition.

Use the repair console instead of the install option and type format C: /fs:ntfs from the command line.

It does ask, how it's worded I can't rightly remember, as it's been a while since I've installed. You may have to delete the C:\ drive in the "Blue Screen"/DOS portion of the setup first, then recreate the partition, then format it. Or you may not, I actually think if you choose not to use the same folder, you are presented with a list of partitions you would like to use for the install. Select your C:\ drive, then format it.
